"When I bought my C18 cottage a lot of work needed to be done, but replacing the kitchen was a priority. Living in Dorset, as I then did, I had no idea who I could trust in the Hebden Bridge area, to do the work. I wouldn't normally consider myself a lucky man but my luck turned when I found Joel's website. I liked the look of his work and I wanted a similar kitchen to the one in his pictures but nothing prepared me for the professionalism and skill of the man.
The renovation of the kitchen wasn't exactly straightforward as I wanted to push the Rayburn back three feet into the chimney-breast which involved lifting the lintel. Most of the time I would be 300 miles away, so asked Joel to project manage all of the work which he readily agreed to do. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. Joel gave me a complete price for the job which also included replacing the quarry tile with a stone floor. He kept me fully informed throughout, regularly sending me pictures and commentary. I think the finished kitchen looks fantastic and is the most used room in the house. Joel's attention to detail is perhaps his biggest asset. Every scribe is beautifully fitted and every drawer closes with a sigh. For me, the kitchen represents real value for money and looks and feels like it was built by a craftsman. Which of course it was. Joel has subsequently fitted doors and windows to the house and I'm just as happy with them as I am with the kitchen. Not surprisingly the word is getting round and he's now in great demand, but, I know that he's worth waiting for and I wouldn't think of using anyone else as a carpenter or builder. I don't think I could get that lucky again!"

"Dear Joel, I remember when I got in touch with you to have my kitchen done, I have to say I have never looked back, I know how difficult it is to create a thing of beauty in miniature - I have a very small kitchen but you did exactly that; you turned an extremely dirty, dark grimy outhouse into a beautiful kitchen space that I am proud to inhabit- all my friends love it and find the transformation an absolute miracle!. All the cupboard dimensions are perfect for such a space, the materials used are of the best. A lot of work went into this, you took great time to make sure everything was to my liking before taking the next step ( never second-guessing me ) ripping out redundant doors, building up walls making sure to obtain the exact type of stone to match the existing old stone of the house- I know some builders would not have gone to such lengths, but that's what you get with a pro.
